Re:Silence - An interview with an amazing band from Germany!

Our Questions: 1.Since you are at your first interview on this site, why don't you tell our readers when and how you started your journey in the underground world?

2. What genres and bands is the group influenced by?

3. I know it might not be easy to do, but could you comment on your latest work?

4.The underground metal scene is undoubtedly inflated by many groups, so (often) it is necessary to present compositions that stand out in the chaos of the various musical scenes. Do you think your songs have something more to say or different from what has already been said in the crowded metal world?

5.What do you think of the national underground scene?

6. The career of a musical group (however short it may be) is always studded with more or less positive events. What would you like to erase and what will you always remember from your group experience, from the very beginning until now?

7. How do you judge the Internet vehicle for promoting the music scene?

8.Since we are talking about it .... how many original CDs do you buy each month? And how many do you listen to?

9.What does your group want to do when they grow up?

10.Okay, guys! The space at our disposal is about to run out, but I want to give you carte blanche for the last message. The word is yours, you are free to express yourselves! Their Answers: 1.Since you are at your first interview on this site, why don't you tell our readers when and how you started your journey in the underground world?

In the current formation we started to rehearse in 2019. After the first live experiences the pandemic took place. So it meant back to the bunker (where we rehearse).

2. What genres and bands is the group influenced by?

Genres would be Grunge, Punk, Hard Rock and maybe metal, as some of us are listening to a lot of metal. But we would consider ourself as a alternative rock band. Specific bands would be too many to mention to be honest. All of us have different favorites from different genres, from folk, to death metal. Somehow we come along and write something in the middle which is influeced by more than 100 bands :D

3. I know it might not be easy to do, but could you comment on your latest work?

It's our debut album. We think it mirrors pretty good what we want to do musically. We have a good dynamic from song to song and we are extreme happy with it. It was a lot of work (still is actually) but it was and is worth it.

Every song stands for itself, so it's no concept album. Some song are older (from our beginning days), some are newer and also joined the album. In the end we are facing some songs that are 5 years or older. Still we like to hear them produced well at last.

In the end we are looking out for feedback from listeners. That's the most exciting part. What do you guys think?

4.The underground metal scene is undoubtedly inflated by many groups, so (often) it is necessary to present compositions that stand out in the chaos of the various musical scenes. Do you think your songs have something more to say or different from what has already been said in the crowded metal world?

In rock and metal there is a lot of competition if you want to name to like that. Let's say community. Well every band or even every individual should do what ever they feel. We don't see it as a competition at all. We make music for us in the first place. If watch someones taste we have something in common with those people from the start. Leave us your thoughts on social media, we have a bond!

5.What do you think of the national underground scene?

Great bands in Germany! There is some great quality. Unfortunately the live circuit seems to be harder than before. A lot of smaller venues/bars had to close etc. We hope that changes again somehow.

6. The career of a musical group (however short it may be) is always studded with more or less positive events. What would you like to erase and what will you always remember from your group experience, from the very beginning until now?

Erase? Nothing. Honestly. Every step was worth something. Even mistakes led us on the path we are walking know. We will always remember the release of our debut album for sure. It's fresh but we guarantee we will always remember how we looked the album up on all platforms and just feel happy to share it with everyone.

7. How do you judge the Internet vehicle for promoting the music scene?

It's good and evil in one mind. The opportunities are great and way more easy to excess for yourself. That's a huge plus. On the other hand it's crowded of course. But for a hobby band as we are it is very easy to reach out to people within a short amount of time.

8.Since we are talking about it .... how many original CDs do you buy each month? And how many do you listen to?

Some of us still buy a couple of CDs actually. Sebastian is still collecting! Vinyl is great again, that's another thing. Especially as a merchitem on live shows, it way more sustainable than a shirt or a hoodie. And in some cases, you can get it signed as well. That's a return of a nice format.

9.What does your group want to do when they grow up?

We are pretty grown up already.
